About Us
INTRODUCTION
The World Islamic Entrepreneur Summit (WIES) 2025 is the global strategic forum designed to empower leaders, entrepreneurs, and scholars with the tools to tackle modern complexities.
Under the theme, “Navigating a Changing World Better,” WIES 2025 addresses the pivotal contribution of Islamic education in responding to the challenges of the post-liberal era.
We convene a diverse group of global leaders, academics, business titans, and community stakeholders to collaboratively define a new trajectory for Islamic education—one rooted in transcendent values, social justice, and ethical plurality—that is critically relevant for today’s development.
A core focus is driving economic integration by deliberately bridging the educational sphere with the real economy. The Summit will forge tangible linkages across MSMEs, Halal tourism, and international business networks.
West Sumatra is the chosen host, selected for its deep-rooted Islamic civilization, proven potential for world-class tourism, and clear commitment to becoming the global Centre of Excellence for Muslimpreneurship.
OBJECTIVES
- Constructing a premier global forum for Islamic Education that is critically relevant to contemporary societal and economic challenges. Fostering International Collaboration that encourages robust and collaborative networking among international educational institutions, businesses, and Halal MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises). Presenting and championing a model of integrative Islamic education that effectively bridges the gap between tradition and modernity.
- Positioning Indonesia as a Hub, positioning the country as a leading global Muslim economy hub, and a key player in the international Halal ecosystem.
- To successfully establish WIES as a permanent fixture on the international event calendar, hosted annually/biennially in West Sumatra.
