From Padang to the World: WIES 2025 to Unite 2,000 Global Entrepreneurs and Investors

Padang – After the successful hosting of the World Islamic Entrepreneur Summit (WIES) 2023, West Sumatra is set to once again organize the international event from November 26 to 29, 2025.

The prestigious summit will take place at the Pangeran Beach Hotel in Padang, carrying the theme “Navigating and Changing World Order.”

WIES 2025 will bring together delegates from various countries and international business players across sectors such as fashion, culinary, export-import, tourism, and technology.

More than 2,000 participants are expected to attend, including diplomats, regional leaders, investors, and international media representatives.

West Sumatra Provincial Secretary Arry Yuswandi emphasized the importance of maintaining enthusiasm and cross-sector collaboration to ensure the success of this international agenda.

“The success of this year’s WIES serves as a reference for its continuity in the future. Therefore, collaboration with various parties is essential. From the welcoming stage to the closing ceremony, we must leave a lasting impression on our guests. Hopefully, this event will become an icon of West Sumatra,” Arry stated.

Chairwoman of WIES 2025, Sari Lenggogeni, revealed that this year’s summit will feature a range of insightful panel discussions designed to enrich the knowledge of entrepreneurs.

“WIES 2025 will present several international panel sessions addressing relevant global topics such as sustainable economic transformation, the role of women and youth in global development, and MSME financing strategies amid global economic uncertainty,” Sari explained.

In addition to the main forum, various side events will also take place, including a halal MSME exhibition, business matching sessions, a job fair, a culinary bazaar, a digital investment showcase, cultural performances, and regional tourism capacity-building programs.

Through WIES 2025, the West Sumatra Provincial Government reaffirms its commitment to becoming a global hub for Islamic economic development and Muslim entrepreneurship, while strengthening Indonesia’s position as a center of excellence for Muslimpreneurship on the world stage.

WIES 2025 is expected to serve as a strategic platform for strengthening business networks—especially among halal MSMEs enabling them to penetrate global supply chains and reinforce Indonesia’s role within the global Islamic economic ecosystem.
